Vermeil (pronounced ver-may) is a luxurious type of gold-plated jewelry crafted with higher quality standards compared to regular gold-plating. Vermeil jewelry achieves a similar look to 18-karat gold without the high costs involved.
Vermeil jewelry is durable and high in quality; however, it is important to treat it with a little extra care.
The gold layer may wear over time with regular use. Minimize exposure to moisture and friction to prolong its glow.

How you care for your jewelry dictates its appraisal value.
We recommend that you clean your Le Monáe piece with a mild soapy hot water. A soft bristle brush is preferable but we recommend that you refrain from using abrasive materials to avoid scratching the finish of your jewelry. A microfiber polishing cloth can be used from time to time as well.
4. Jewelry Maintenance
Our warranty policy covers all of the jewelry purchased from Le Monáe. This warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship for 3 months on our vermeil pieces and 1 year on our solid gold items. It does not cover neglect, abuse, normal wear and tear, or stone loss.
